Graham

Graham developed the business after retiring from the Police Dept 30 years ago.

Graham started his policing career serving for 7 years in the Mounted Police, which triggered and instilled a passion for training and ground work with any young horse whilst also developing his eventing career.

Limerick Park was born on a small property in Dardanup in 1988 and outgrew the limited facilities which led to the purchase of our current 150 acres in magnificent loam soil at Burekup in 2012. From here an ambitious plan has unfolded in the development of the magnificent facilities we are now privileged to operate from. Graham has a unique skill to work with the development of young horses to earn trust and confidence and can then guide them through any level of training required.

Belinda

Successfully competed in eventing as a teenager and continued to compete throughout the state after marrying Graham and having two children Rhys and Kyra.

Belinda worked for many years as part of the grass roots of the development of Limerick Park, riding track work and assisting Graham in the day to day running of the stables and logistics.

After purchasing Horseland Bunbury in 2004, Belinda’s involvement in Limerick Park was scaled to an administrative role. She is still very involved with the planning and development of the property and enjoys looking after the landscaping and upkeep to ensure the property is presented immaculately.

Rhys

Rhys always had farming in his veins, taking after his Grandfather who was a broad acre farmer in Gairdner River.

After completing his Agriculture degree at Muresk University Rhys worked off farm for many years developing as many skills as possible on various types of land and operations.

As the growth of Limerick Park expanded, Rhys returned home to work with Graham to assist with the horse education work and then moved into the hay production business.

The purchase of the acreage in Burekup led to an expansion of on farm resources and Limerick Farms Meadow Hay was developed.

Rhys now operates the hay business directly from the farm, including the use of acreage from around the local district.

Limerick Farms Meadow Hay is now a product that is in extremely high demand direct from the farm gate.

As a family operation Rhys is still very involved in pasture development and care on the property and oversees maintenance and further development and planning of the facility.

Kyra

Where farming was in Rhys’ veins – all things horses has been in Kyra’s veins from the time that she could walk. There was never a question about horses and riding being a huge part of Kyra’s life.

Kyra was an extremely successful competitive rider from a young age and was highly skilled at eventing and show jumping. As soon as she was able, she was authorised to ride track work and whilst finishing Yr 11-12 the thought of being a jockey was becoming a real likelihood.

After completely Year 12 Kyra immediately commenced her apprenticeship and out rode her claim in under 3 years. Her apprenticeship was extremely successful and Kyra was very fortunate to be aligned with some of the best trainers and owners in the state . This resulted in her becoming the first female to win the Perth Cup in 2011.

Kyra also travelled to work and race ride in Melbourne with prominent trainers in Flemington during 2016 .

Upon returning home she was fortunate to work at Williams Racing whilst learning and developing her skills as the first female to earn her dual Jockey/Trainer license in WA .

Kyra continues to race ride successfully whilst travelling far and wide throughout the state. Working alongside Graham she is now an integral part of the training ethos developed at Limerick Park. Her extremely high work ethic , skill and experience ensures no stone is left unturned with the individual development and requirements of every horse that enters the stables.
